A tasteful story
My name is Rose Oguz. I am the owner of “Rose in the kitchen”.
To tell the story about “Rose In the kitchen” we must go back in time. Cooking was my biggest passion since I was a little girl, and growing up in Istanbul the city of food, spices and flavours help me to create what we are today.
As a chef, over the years, I mastered the art of Middle Eastern cooking. I took a wide range of cooking classes in Europe and Middle East, but love will always be our main ingredient.
I came to Canada as a single mother, like most of us trying to create a better life for me and my daughter. I finished a culinary school in Toronto, started as a private party organizer, and worked in different ethnic restaurants to gather as much experience as I could.
After couple of years, my clients recognized me and my food as something special and unique. That is when I opened business of my own, “Rose in the kitchen” catering. I ran that business successfully for 12 years. I gained experience, connections and developed a recognizable menu for my food. That led me to follow other paths with the brand such as our restaurant.
We are proud to serve our clients with amazing food that brings the flavours from East to the West together. The finest dining experience which people can truly see and taste what is Turkish cuisine all about actually… of course, everything with our special ingredient love.
This place is definitely worth the drive we took to get here! The food was so amazing we couldn't stop talking about it as we ate. The owner was really sweet and came up to us to speak to us personally and ask how everything was and the service was also really good! Food came out quickly and yet it was still so amazing. If you like a little bit of heat, I recommend the Urfa Kebab with rice!
